When 2007 meets 2008...
AWFUL....What a way to spend the last few hours of 2007... watching singapore's retarded countdown for 2008. Vivocity was the place. Was suppose to be a class gathering, only 6 of us turned up. And to think that it was a remarkable improvement from the last time, 4? I heard. Had dinner at Pastamania, played pool to the very last minutes.
So we were standing among the crowd, fireworks shot up at random intervals~! It made no sence. Furthermore, they were so short when everyone turned to look at the general direction from where the sound was coming from, it had already ceased. Can't they all let off the fireworks when midnight strikes??? 3 places, Vivo, sentosa n marina bay. I guess i would say it was our fault not to move to better position. Sentosa's fireworks got blocked by a crane. The 1 at vivocity was blocked by the main building. Marina Bay's fireworks was half out of the trees..==
There was no warning, it was 11.58 on my watch, and they started the 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. At least LONDON HAD A BELL.
Speaking of which, the next few chain of events left me completely stoned. Decided to catch a movie, we were queueing up for tickets, suddenly these 2 dudes came up to us offering us Free Tickets to watch I Am Legend.
WTF. It was completely random i tell you... booked, paid for ( it was $9.50 by the way ) and they just offered it to us. So coincidental that only 2 of us have not wa tched that movie, hansen n i decided to stay.
For will smith's sake don't watch it. You'll end up saying: "Okayy...." watch it next year when it comes up on channel 5. Maybe those 2 guys had some precognition thingy going on. But What the heck, they were free and in the largest theatre 1.
the movie ended, checked out the credits, Laughed our asses off. the main cast consisted of 6 people. 2 of them were dogs. among the 2 dogs 1 was a substitute. Seriously, You'll feel very empty inside if you watch that movie. They tried too hard on the shock factor. So after the movie we ended up wandering around to search for cab sites. Along the way were many others, sleeping in the streets, relaking 1 corner. I would say was the most interesting part of the day.
for the first time i've gotten really close to a cruise ship. At the departure site. Then out of nowhere this group of thugs came along trying to pick a fight. Good thing hansen nailed it. For I was already about to call for security. freaked the hell out of me that time. Urgh, next time don't mess around with this kind of people lar.
Oh yeah, we went to this male toilet , they were selling condoms in coin slot machines. LOL. wish i took a picture of it. Was just too shaken up...
Ahh... in the end we owed it to hansen's dad to bring us back home safely.
OH I ALMOST FORGOT.. HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR~!! mine sucked but stay happy ppl.
