fauxPAS
Today was a good day, with lots of breaks and ultimately, physics spa went well. Rushed home for GP tuition today, so i couldn't join the class for dinner...=( sad
but anyway, boarded the bus with Hong Zuo, talked abit. Cutting the long story short he then mentioned, aren't you tired. I said no, but apparently after he got off, his words seemed to ring in my head, take a break derrick, rest derrick. So i Did. The next thing i knew when i woke up, was that i had arrived at tanah merah station. Shit, it wasn't the first time, but it really did piss me off. What the heck la, i thought. after pausing for a moment, i decided to walk the long way back home...
The following thoughts are going to be very sentimental. so if you're not into mushy stuff...U See that red cross over at the top right hand corner of the screen Yah? It's calling for you Yah? Go on...Click it Yah? Problem solved Yah?
So anyway, i walked the long wayhome...Then i saw many things that jolted my childhood memories. The old market place along changi road, the shops the benches, the pavement the sheltered walkways. Then i got all sentimental... I realised what i had missed for the past few years. My childhood was spent there. the tireless days where my dad would dutifully pick me up from the childcare center or tuition centre, and cycle me home through those walkways.
as the years went by, i forgot about the place, as i frequent it lesser and lesser. My daily activities shifted from changi bedok to Marine Parade...Now I am even further North, at Lorong Chuan...-_-
As i continued to walk through my humble hometown, i slowly noticed the blend of old and new, Then i realised that everything is changing. The old is being phased out graudually, what used to be a library turned into a PAP branch. A multistory carpark, repainted buildings. I did feel a sense of loss. for I did not treasure them.
Change is good, it makes one treasure the past. It creates hope for the future, and it makes the present ever more unpredictable.
Change is the only contant they say
Its all Good...

Rubbing my unopened eyelids, I can see Into a pastel-patterned future I’ll pursue an inlaid symbol As my expression were pulled in closer That’s right, exactly when were those days When we defied gravity to see each other / When we used to meet, denying the attraction that was forming between us? At a crossroad lit with sunbeams seeming to whisper through the trees As the two of us rotate as if in a waltz, We express ourselves I could see the landscape Over half a year ago, I made it smolder By setting the image on fire Even so, I’m fine, I tell you We’ll probably seek out comparisons with our gravity As we listen to chirps that seem to murmur As if we’re dancing a waltz, the two of us Express ourselves I’ll draw you close to me, so, please From there on, let’s continue to dance Our very own waltz At a crossroad lit with sunbeams seeming to whisper through the trees As the two of us rotate as if in a waltz, We express ourselves
Suneohair - Waltz (lyrics translation)
Say, what was it that I’ve been searching for?
It’s like a waltz, isn’t it? So wondrous
Throwing up all my overheated emotions,
What was it that I’ve lost?
It’s like a waltz, isn’t it? So lovely
Ah, repaint reality, which is playing dumb, with primary colors
It’s like a waltz, isn’t it? So wondrous

im so high, i could hear heaven
oh but heaven
no heaven don't hear me
(chorus:)
and they say that a hero could save us
im not gonna stand here and wait
oh hold on to the wings of a hero watches the hope fly away
someone told me love would all save us
but how can that be look what love gave us
a world full of killing and blood spilling
that world never cant
(chorus:)
and they say that a hero could save us
i'm not gonna stand here and wait
oh hold on to the wings of a hero watches the hope fly away
ah ha oh! and now that the world isnt ending
its love that im sending to you
and its in the love of a hero and thats why i fear it wont do
and they say that a hero could save us
im not gonna stand here and wait
oh hold on to the wings of a hero watches the hope fly away
and there watching us
there watching us
as the hope flys away
and there watching us
there watching us
as they all fly away
and there watching us
there watching us
as they all fly away
